List "Greatest Elevation+Prominence in Each State" By ChrisinAZ
Notes: Yet another annoying list some may feel obligated to chase!
The good news: most of the peaks on this list are simply the state highpoints (yes, even in lowly Iowa and Kansas...). And there were remarkably no ties, besides the 3 candidates vying for Mississippi's most prominent summit.
In several states, the most prominent peak edged out the highest for the honor of being on this list. In Connecticut and Nevada, the highest ranked peak was crowned. And in two states--Maryland and Missouri--completely unexpected summits ended up making the list.
As far as I know, this list may be uncompleted...who will be the first to finish?
