Peaks Per Outing

Postby John Kirk » Fri Sep 21, 2007 5:33 pm

Here is a yearly measure for average # of ranked peaks (300' prominence) per outing for those who bag 20 or more peaks a year:
http://www.listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/Content/PPO.php

It includes repeats if you've logged them with dates.

This can be found from home page->Recent Content->Member's Peaks by Date Range with a link 'Peaks per outing leaders by year'.

You're far and above the most efficient. :)

I've had some good days, but some awfully hard days, too. Sheesh! Stupid JeffCo.

I'm just glad yesterday won't count against me as an outing! :) Getting picked up and moved by the wind at the Obstruction/Humboldt saddle was not my idea of a good time.

If you climb a peak on Saturday, drive home, climb another peak on sunday, is that an outing? Just curious about the boundaries of an outing.

How about peaks per day out? Does that change results very much? Then there is Teresa, she has outings that last months.

Any list I come in the top 5 is OK with me. :-D

Probably bad wording on my part - It is counted as (summits/days with summits) - not sure how I'd write a script to determine how many consecutive days someone hasn't been home.

Sorry to hear about your "outing" Ryan. Sucks to drive that far to be weathered out - it happened to me in there a couple times about five years ago when I insisted on trying Crestone Peak in late fall/winter. I haven't been wind-lifted off my feet before, and hope to continue that trend.

right, the word "outing" befuddled me a bit, especially if I'm used to being "out" for at least 2 days.

"summits per day out" would be much clearer to me.

why doesn't Teresa Gergen show up on the list?

Teresa hasn't updated any of her peaks with actual dates.
