jmbrooks completes Boulder County Ranked Peaks list!

Postby lukePlumley » Sun Sep 23, 2012 12:02 pm

On September 20 jmbrooks completed the ranked peaks of Boulder County with his successful summit of Isolation Peak!

Congratulations John! Isolation is a fine remote summit to finish on. Boulder County does not see too many completions, even with its close proximity to Denver. John is the 8th completer on LOJ.

Which were your favorites and least favorites on that list? Any real access trouble? On to the next list!

Good work John - Boulder is a fine (and challenging for a variety of reasons) list

Awesome, great to see somebody else finish the list. Outside of the 13ers and IPW most people could care less about the other peaks. I found most of them to be very enjoyable. Isolation is a great one to finish on, a long tough day in the Park.

Thanks guys! Looks like many more finishers to come soon.

I have enjoyed most of my home county peaks, hence why I've done most of the unranked too.
Ogalalla, Isolation, & Alice with combo unranked bonus pks were all long 20-mile hikes, with early starts. I enjoyed learning all the different routes in the park. Getting back to the CD has always been a weather challenge (storms and/or wind). Sure wish they could improve some of those trails that lead to what is considered a "Pass".

Of all the peaks, I think Twin Sisters Pk 8738' is the hidden gem.

The rest of CCC should be a good Winter prj.

Congrats John! The Boulder list seems to have a lot of logistical challenges to add an extra level of difficulty!
