Question about peak inclusion

Postby cftbq » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:07 am

If I go to the list for Colorado niners, I find St. Peter's Dome included. Yet, this same peak is not on the list of summits in El Paso County. How come?

The County Summits list shows only peaks with minimum 300' prominence, they are thus "ranked county summits". St. Peters Dome has only 100' prominence.

OK; that makes sense. (I still found it an enjoyable scramble, though.) :toothless:

Patrick:

The high point of the ridge behind St Peter's Dome to the s.w. is ranked, and it's just a short stroll to the summit from Gold Camp Rd.
