San Bernardo Mountain

Looks like the summit of San Bernardo Mountain on the Mt. Wilson quad should actually be 11,900, not 11,861. There is a small 11,880-foot contour just south of the 11,861-foot point. This gives it an interpolated prominence of 1,000 feet, so it should be added to that list as well.

Nice find Kirk! Agree on the interpolated elevation of 11900' and interpolated prominence of 1000'.

Hate to spoil the fun but...

When I climbed San Bernardo, I visited the 11861, 11900 and 11822 hi pts.
turns out that 11861 is the high point.

First it's Mesa de Maya, now this - you're a real killjoy Mike.

Did you level it?

No need to level it.
It was in plain sight for any fool to see.

Sorry to create extra work. But I guess it's good to know that there is a clear map error on this.

No problem Kirk - that's what makes the list more robust. I've actually added a column in the database for field notes (seen on profiles):

I'll have to start looking through my old email to put in notes for other peaks.

That's a good idea. I know Gerry has several notes about 12ers & 13ers on his Project Island site - maybe you could start there.

Maybe we could also add in unresolved issues, like Lavender vs. Hespersus, or the issue of which of the Nokhu Crags is higher.
