“Bull Hill” 10,808 Teller County Approach

Postby bdloftin » Sun Sep 19, 2021 1:21 pm

Anyone have any ideas how to summit this nowadays? Looks like the easiest semi-legal route from the American Eagle overlook closed in 2016 unfortunately. Know if they grant permission/escorts if asked? Is the mining area active 24/7?

Thanks all.

I hiked the Vindicator trails just east of this a few months ago - public parking and hiking trails however there was both construction and mining at or near the summit. Also appeared to have a fence around the whole area. You can see the entire east side from these trails. I also wonder if it has lost any prominence due to mining.
