Kevin Baker completed the list of P300 peaks in Douglas County on October 25 with a climb of "Big Rock Candy Mountain". What route did you take?

Brian:

We did Petered Out (5.9), led by Dominic and Sarah Meiser! Sarah led the final two pitches. Dominic is an OW pro. It felt good to finally get up this on the third try thanks to the heroics of Dom and Sarah! Pics here:

Great climb and pictures Kevin! Congratulations on a fine completion. Now when are you going to talk the Meisers into your Jeffco completer? :shh:

Nice job Kevin! Looks like the rock on Big Rock Candy is a little higher quality than on Needle Rock. Looks like Jeffco is next -> Chair Rocks 5.10 wow! Boulder seems like it's within striking distance. So what peak is the picture on your profile page? JP

Well done. BRCM is a fine finisher - it's one of the toughest technical summits in the state.

Congrats Kevin! You've been in the all but BRC group in Douglas for a long time now, must feel good to get it done. This is one of my favorite peaks anywhere, quite awesome. Your pictures are great.

Thanks, guys. Douglas county was a fun list. It took me 11 years to complete for 27 ranked! Lots of scrub bushwacks in this county with BRCM as the big prize.

John, the peak in my profile is Montezuma's Tower in Garden of the Gods. It's a fairly easy 5.7 climb, but very exposed!

Luke, I probably need to do more off width climbing before tackling Chair Rocks, but I hope to someday! I climb in the gym regularly, but don't get outside enough. I'm sure Dominic can lead it. He likes to gobble up OW.
