On 8/31/14 Mark Ott became the second LoJ member to complete the 117 ranked peaks in La Plata County. A hearty congratulations to the Mancos Mtn Man! Looks like you’ve been climbing in that county since 1974. Any stand out peaks? How about rough ones? Stories? How many did Ranger hit with you? JP

Ranger is only 2 years old so he has not been around to do the peaks that I have lived at the base of for 55 years. I know that my father took me & my 6 siblings up Madden peak in the mid '60's , but I don't have an actual date. I probably would not have ever finished La Plata county if it hadn't been for LOJ. I was not even aware of several of the ranked peaks in my own backyard until I became a member in '08. I currently have moved to Highlands Ranch & I'm enjoying the endless Front range peaks.
