New GPS

I just got a new GPS (Etrex 30) and I was wondering, do we have a POI file for all peaks in the contiguous USA?

I see the state by state files, but If they are just text files then they should still just take up a small chunk of the total memory.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't an interface to generate one for the entire US (the state filters help keep server load down). I've emailed a file to you (12 MB). Anyone else who wants this just PM me.

There are several errors in the file that need correction. I believe the lines are as follows:

8
3212
4307
27666
56571

There might be another one between the first two lines.

I don't know why poiloader had a problem with line 8. The rest of the lines have the name being split and then causes the elevation, rise...etc to be bumped one column over which poiloader has issues with. I think most are Alaskan peaks, but I cannot be sure.

Line 8 failing leads me to believe you might be on a newer version of POILoader than the most recent "working" version 2.54.

see this thread if so: http://www.listsofjohn.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=561&p=4294&#p3977

In the meantime, I've resent you the file with some edits to the other lines

Sorry, I should have noted I fixed the errors and got it working, everything loaded after the fixes. I am on poiloader 2.72. I would have sent you the fixed file, but I sometimes hack and slash things just to get them working and that isn't ideal for everyone else (who might want things neat and pretty).

No worries. Just thought I'd let you know in case others ask.
