After the long drive from I-35 in Iowa to Kanorado, we still had one
hour of daylight left. Exiting to SH-3, we arrived at the signs pointing
to Mount Sunflower. I can't help but feel silly about driving to highpoints,
but there aren't many other viable options with points that rise so little. A nice
sunset from Colorado culminated our Thanksgiving Weekend highpointing excursion.
On the right is the Mount Sunflower summit marker. A quick drive out, and we were
on our way to Burlington, where we ran out of gas 2 miles before town - damn drive-ups.
