What's the "point" of county highpointing in New Mexico?
New Mexico needs a bagger's list that gets all around the state, and there is not much that can be said of 13ers, or really even that much of New Mexico's 12ers - pretty much encompassed in one range. The county highpoints pull together an interesting mixture of desert peaks, alpine climbs, mesa tops, and plains. This diversity takes to the title "Land of Enchantment" well.
