| I was looking for a way up Blue Mountain(s) on a windy day when I gave up and looked around for access to Coal Creek Peak. I found a nice spot to start from east and headed on up the start of 2,000 vertical feet, steeply at times. The bushwhacking wasn't too bad and it was easy to stay on the east ridge. There were some fun optional scrambling sections. There were a few other visitors recently, noted by the prints in the waning snow. Nice view from the top. The hike down was rather uneventful. |
