| This was a fun outing that necessitated some difficulty finding the actual highest ground. The rise was apparent from the top of the first mesa, but I figured the point would be on a rock. After spending about an hour surveying all possibilities, I'm still convinced the highest ground is by a tree with the dirt under a scrub brush (photo of area on right). The views from the mesa were expansive and worth the trip, also a great way to avoid the cold of winter one would experience higher up in the hills. | |
