Leah, Myra and I got started on the road at 10:00 a.m. on a quick trip up the Mount Evans Road for some outdoor fun. I had hoped to bag Epaulet and "Epaulie" additionally, but the weather didn't cooperate with our 10-month old daughter's wishes. We took turns carrying her up as she hasn't been fond of manufactured carriers of late. We soon found ourselves on Myra and Leah's first 13er after the 400 vertical feet required to reach Warren's summit. Myra was happier on the ground where she could play. About a third of the way over to Rogers Peak, Leah and Myra retreated due to the wind. I high-tailed it over to Rogers Peak's summit (photo below) and down between the saddle of Rogers and Warren to the road, jogging back to the car near Summit Lake.

pictureMyra was happier back in the car. I stopped .8 miles south of Goliath Peak and jogged toward the rightmost small prominence in the photo on the left. Such is the fate of those of us lured to complete Clear Creek county named summits. On the right, Rogers Peak is seen from the summit of Goliath. I returned to the vehicle about 20 minutes later. picture
