Time for my last hike in my 20's. What should I choose? Well, a thirteener sounds like a good idea. Mount Lady Washington will do. I started on the Longs Peak trail at about 7:45, enjoying the efforts of others who have packed the trail prior to my arrival. I am surprised how well it goes actually, and end up above treeline in a little over an hour. The wind is minor, so it seems this will be a successful outing today. I only spot one other group near Chasm Lake. The northeast face makes for a relatively windless ascent, and is an optimal winter route being so scoured.
