Edward Magoffin became separated from his partner near Rock of Ages Mine en-route to Wilson Peak when snowstorms surrounded the area. Search efforts were difficult in the early winter-like weather. Magoffin hiked down to treeline and established a shelter, from which he hiked down from on the 11th.Source: Telluride Daily Planet
