Taylor Glacier Accidents



September 25, 1984

Douglas Rovirra was glissading with his crampons on when one of his feet caught and started his slide to the base of Taylor Glacier. He sustained a broken leg and was flown out in a helicopter.

August 4, 1990

William Carson was killed in a 900 foot tumble when he lost his footing while attempting to ascend the glacier.
