"When we were climbing Yale some years ago, we met an older gentleman who told us about how his brother had died when they mistakenly tried to descend McCoy gulch between Shavano and Tabeguache. He was quite detailed including descriptions of bringing his sister-in-law and nephew back to the site. It occurred when they were trying to down-climb one of the cliffs in the gulch and his brother slipped on a wet patch of rock. It probably occurred sometime in the 70's or early 80's based on the description. The sherriff's dept. was involved in the body recovery."Source: Emailed Submission from Kevin Craig
