Unknown Date 1964"In describing an ascent of Pyramid Peak, my father wrote:For some reason I got stuck with the right most (toward the face) coulouir and it was too steep and loose to be safe. I lost it once due to a loose rock, but was able to grab a solid one quickly enough to avoid what would have been a catastrophic tumble down the very steep gully. We'd each taken a different gully to avoid the rock hazard... Two guys from Aspen had tried to follow us up the snow field in the amphitheater, but turned back. They came back the following weekend and one of them fell on the snowfield and was killed."
