July 18, 1997

A large outing of Princeton Alumni were descending, when Peter Dewey, class of 1949, fell 50 feet down talus and was injured. He was carried out by a rescue team of 17 on a backboard.

March 19, 2006

A group of four CU students were attempting to descend more quickly by dropping into Dry Creek Gulch, not prepared for the deep and steep snow conditions . Two split up and tried to find the road to descend while the others stayed. Rescuers found them that night and were able to get the two who stayed in place out the following morning.
