May 29, 1949

Otto Schied, an exchange student, and a friend were ascending a rock face at Colorado National Monument when Otto fell a fatal 300 feet. His partner tried to grab him and fell 30 feet, unharmed.

An unknown male fell 50 feet while climbing Colorado National Monument, apparently unhurt from the fall.

Marshall Luber was found dead 250' below Red Canyon Overlook. His death was likely a suicide as he threatened to do so the night before his body was found.
