McGregor Slab Accidents



June 10, 1983

Bob Gatzemeyer was rappelling down the slab when wet conditions caused the rope to slip. He fell 18 feet and landed on his back, resulting in cuts and bruises to his side and back.

Paul Ormsby was ascending the face when he slipped and fell 300 feet to his death while repositioning unroped.
