November 7, 1997

An unknown female was descending a frozen waterfall near Vail and fell 30 feet, fracturing her lower arm and receiving a cut on her leg. She was rescued by firefighters.

December 7, 1997

Jim Amidon was ice-climbing the Rigid Inseminator near the end of the crux when a crampon gave way, causing him to fall. Three ice screws pulled out and Jim's carabiner broke before he fell to the base. He sustained a broken leg, pelvis, and numerous cuts.

January 5, 2002

Rod Willard was ice-climbing The Fang when a 3' x 3' chunk of ice came loose from the climber above him. He was struck on the top of his head and died from massive head trauma.
