James Nuadack was climbing Devil's Head and attempted to jump over an exposed gap. He failed to complete the jump, and jammed his foot in between some rocks. Unable to extricate himself, he was rescued 12 hours later with a rope.Source: Accidents in North American Mountaineering, 1950
