Mount Alice Accidents



March 7, 1980

Ruth Magnusson was with a group of eight climbers ascending Mt. Alice when weather turned foul and she became separated from the group. She had left her parka back at camp, and died of hypothermia before her group could find her.

August 29, 1996

David Ingersoll was descending the East Face because of rainy conditions and reached a snowfield. He lost his footing, and with no ice axe tumbled down the snowfield impacting rocks. He suffered a fractured pelvis
